CW: Sexual assault and hard drug use references
The penultimate issue of Gary Arlington’s joy and pride, the San Francisco Comic Book’s sixth issue had a lot to offer even in its languishing days.
The Dentist from Sheboygan by Barry Siegel (writer) & Roger H. Brand (artist) — This opening comic does not care to warm the readers up for any of the unhinged depravity throughout unless you count the titular dentist’s large “cavity filling” for his sedated female patient. Brood not, nevertheless, for karma still exists, albeit inconsistently, in this seedy comix underbelly when an undercover cop catches Dr. Pain in the act. His whistleblower assistant monkey Monk is so lucky, on the other hand.
